Feminist parental leave policy
Long term, our goal is to have an enhanced parental-leave policy with six months full pay for parents of newborn or newly adopted children and contributions to childcare costs for all parents. Currently, due to funding restrictions, it is not feasible for us to implement this policy before 2025.
In the meantime, we commit to:
- Paying all non-UK based staff the equivalent of 8% UK Statutory Maternity Pay (SMP) rates. UK-based employees are entitled to SMP due to their UK National Insurance contributions with an 8% contribution from Chayn.
- Advertising all of our roles with a job-share option
- Allowing employees to take paid time off for dependents (anybody who relies on the employee for support or care).
- Giving new parents the option to come back to work part time as part of a job-share or full time.
